Use squared paper for your design and remember to include the following items

•  The name of the school
•  The name of the subject
•  Some text describing the subject
•  A photograph of the school
•  The school logo.

Describe the colour and size of the text and indicate where the logo and photographs will be placed. You may print out squared paper here.

You will need the the homework sheet which can be gotten from here also withing the resources section. In any of the column of the sheet, explain why you chose the logo. You should answer the following questions:

•  Why are you familiar with it?
•  Is it instantly recognisable? Why?
•  Is it a good logo in your opinion? Why?

Either sketch your chosen logos in the first column or stick in a copy from a magazine or paper.

For this homework, simply collect four or five leaflets that have images on them. These leaflets can be taken from anywhere, it may have been posted through your door from a pizza restaurant, supermarket or collected from shops or businesses.

For each leaflet you should write down why you think the images have been chosen. For example:

•  To illustrate or advertise a product – a picture of a pizza;
•  To explain – a map or instructions;
•  To add visual interest – photographs of rooms or scenes or goods for sale.

Either sketch your chosen logos in the first column or stick in a copy from a magazine or paper.

For this homework, you are to write a description of the steps you have taken in producing your leaflets over the last few lessons. You must refer to your orignal design.

You must do this on an A4 sheet of paper and should include:

•  A description of the task;
•  Reasons for their choice of design;
•  A short description of some of the activities involved in creating the leaflet;
•  Two or three things they like about their leaflet;
•  One or two changes they would like to make.

Try to also suggest things that you might include in your descriptions.

For this homework, you are to write a description of the steps you have taken in producing your leaflets over the last few lessons. You must try and complete this on computer for it to be emailed to your teacher or printed out. If you cant do this on compter then please write it out.

Include the following within your commentary:

•  How you made it.
•  How you got the images.
•  Audience
•  Did colours suit your audience?
•  Was the background suitable for your audience?
•  Was the text size suitable for your audience?
•  How did you position your text & image?
•  Where the images used suitable for your audience.
