In this unit we will be creating leaflets for year pupils in 6.
We will be looking at the different ways we can do this. We could create a page a single page leaflet, or we can create one that we can fold into a small booklet.

The question is “just what are we expecting to know at the end of this unit?” Most pupils will use a desk top publishing package like Microsoft Publisher or Serif Draw Plus to plan and create an A4 leaflet or a folding leaflet, which has both text and images.
You will be expected to take into account of the audience and the purpose of your leaflets. You will be given a list of things you will use to evaluate the effectiveness of your leaflet for your intended audience.
Some pupils will not be able to cope with all of the demands of creating a leaflet but will be expected to just use a desk top publishing package to plan and create a A4 leaflet, which has both text and images in it.
Some pupils will have made a lot of progress and be able to use a desk top publishing package to plan and create both an A4 leaflet and a folding leaflet, which has both text and images, taking account of the purpose of the leaflet.
They will improve the content of their leaflets for two different audiences. They will make a list of good and bad things about the leaflet that make it more appropriate and test the leaflet for its effectiveness of their leaflets for their target audiences. |
